  Greens aerated early August but playable by 8.19.17 and running about 9 on a Stimpmeter. Fairways were cut very short and the same for apron areas around the greens. Tight lies from fairways were very common as were areas under Repair.
  This course plays 5700 yards from the tips. Water is in play on every hole including some holes with more than 1 shot over water. Expect to lose several balls if your shot accuracy and consistency leave something to be desired.
  
  Staff is helpful and friendly. Carts do not have GPS. Flags have reflectors for laser rangefinder devices.
  
  The course is sited very close to the causeway to and from Sanibel, but there are no Bay views from the course and there are no Dunes. There are many well maintained sand traps.
  
  Pace of play in August is set by the skill of your group rather than by the number of golfers on the course. A ball lost in water here is unlikely to be found.
